The spare cable drawer has become a problem

Found three VGA cables and a charger for something I no longer recognize. What is the rule for throwing this stuff out?

The rule is that you need it exactly two days after you throw it out.

I keep one known working cable of each type and label odd chargers with what they belonged to. Unknown power bricks are not worth guessing with.
